Our ‘digital department’ checks each document to be printed and makes it ready for press. This takes place at the Prepress Department. This department is capable of processing almost any type of document on the Mac and PC. Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and all standard Microsoft Office files are processed on a daily basis.  We call our prepress department the ‘digital department’ because this department is also responsible for the final processing of digital documents. For example, scans are converted into usable PDF files, multiple CDs and DVDs are burned and advice is provided about the work still to be delivered. In addition, the digital department also processes scans into usable Word documents using optical character recognition (OCR) software. In addition, we make DWG CAD files print ready for our large format plotters (if the files are delivered together with the CTB file).
